Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The crispy batter and succulent cod stand out as customer favorites. Patrons rave about how fresh and perfectly cooked the fish is, delivering that authentic chip shop experience everyone craves. Vincent’s generous portion sizes also earn applause, leaving diners satisfied without breaking the bank.

The friendly, attentive staff enhance the experience, making visitors feel truly welcomed. Regulars appreciate how the team remembers their favorite orders, creating a connection that keeps them coming back.

For a quick yet delicious go-to option, the chicken fillet burger is a must-try, with many returning for its savory flavor. The casual atmosphere invites families to relax, knowing they can enjoy good food without the fuss, enhancing the overall appeal.

Most Disliked

While many continue to enjoy their meals, some diners mention that during peak hours, especially on busy Saturdays, the wait time can stretch. This might deter those looking for a quick bite before heading out for the evening.

A few reviews suggest that on rare occasions, items can run out, particularly the popular curry sauce, which pairs perfectly with their fish and chips. This reflects the demand but can be a letdown for those with specific cravings.

The seating, though ample, can feel a bit cramped during rush hours, reducing the relaxed dining experience that the place is known for. However, this speaks more to its popularity than any lack of comfort or service.

Love love LOVE this place. We get a takeaway whenever I visit family in the area and would definitely recommend. Visiting from the Norfolk coast i can definitely say that the fish & chips from here are just as good if not better than we have back home. Very big portions, delicious, fresh fish and perfect curry sauce & chips. Highly recommend *****

Read a lot of good reviews about George's Plaice so went out of my way to try it out...purchased regular cod and chips...worth every penny and more than l could eat, and l can eat 😁 fish was beautiful and batter was perfect, wasn't hungry for best part of the next day either. Thoroughly recommend and l will most definitely be going again next week...oh and get some scraps thrown in 😛
